First Aid Blended Module w/ In-person Skills Session – American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Certification
This First Aid course is designed to prepare students to provide first aid in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
The course is typically attended by Residential Habilitation Providers, Assisted Living Facility Staff, Construction, Manufacturing, Security, Education, Child Care, Hospitality, Property Management, Fitness, Chiropractor, Acupuncturist, Lifeguard, Corrections, Law Enforcement, Parents, Lay-Rescuers and more.
ASHI’s blended learning First Aid Certification is a two part process. Completion of the full course includes Part 1: online module, plus Part 2: an in-person skills practice and testing session with a Cenrgy Instructor.
Upon successful completion of Part 1 and Part 2 of the course, students immediately receive a First Aid course completion e-card from the American Satey & Health Institute (ASHI), valid for two years.
After completing this course, students should be able to:
- List the priorities, roles, & responsibilities of the first aid rescuer
- Scene Assessment and Safety
- Describe the key steps in first aid
- Remove protective gloves
- Use an epinephrine pen
- Control bleeding and bandaging
- Describe the assessment and first aid actions for the following
- Medical Emergencies
- Injury Emergencies
- Environmental Emergencies
Step 1: Complete your registration. Choose a scheduled time or a private session (an additional $40 fee applies to private sessions).
Step 2: You will receive two emails. 1.) A confirmation of your training date immediately and 2.) an email allowing access to your online module. Follow instructions in confirmation email (check your spam folder).
Step 3: Complete the Online Module. Follow instructions in confirmation email (check your spam folder).
Step 4: Print your online certification of completion. Print and bring this certificate with you OR email your certificate to email@example.com.
Step 5: Attend your skills practice and skill test. With your online course complete and completion certificate in hand, attend your scheduled course with a Cenrgy instructor.
Course Length: 1.5 – 2 hrs online; 30 minutes classroom
This First Aid course is intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. This course can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
This First Aid course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care and the 2015 American Heart Association, American Safety and Health Institute and the American Red Cross Updates.
